Image's DPI
Have you ever wondered how your images will look once printed in your project?
You can easily check an image’s clarity by looking at its DPI. The higher the DPI, the better the resolution and overall print quality. DPI stands for dots per inch, meaning how many printed dots fit into one inch of an image, which directly affects how sharp your photos will appear in your yearbook.

While your device may display PPI, pixels per inch, this refers to how an image appears on a screen. For printing, 300 DPI is the standard for high quality results. Student portraits provided by your photographer are typically already optimized for print.

Images taken on mobile devices may sometimes have lower effective DPI, especially when enlarged. However, scale plays an important role.
