📸 Using Photos for Ads ✅ Your Options for Sourcing Photos for Your Ad

📸 Using Photos for Ads

The simple answer is No, photos uploaded to the school's general LINK homepage cannot be used in Ad Designer.

This restriction is in place because of the way the system segregates content for different purposes:

  • Yearbook Designer Content: Photos uploaded to the school's LINK homepage are specifically designated for use only within the main Yearbook Designer. This keeps the photos used by staff and for general yearbook pages organized and separate from user-submitted ad content.
  • Ad Designer Requirement: The Ad Designer tool requires you to upload photos directly from your own computer or device as you build your custom ad. This ensures that you own the files and that the system can process them correctly for the high-quality output required for printing your ad.

✅ Your Options for Sourcing Photos for Your Ad

Since you cannot pull images from the LINK homepage, here are the simple options you have for including photos in your custom ad:

Upload Directly from your device:

When using the Ad Designer, you will have an option to Upload photos. Use this feature to select images directly from your computer.

Photo Imports from Social Media & Cloud Services:

Ad Designer does not have a direct option to import photos from social media platforms (like Facebook or Instagram) or cloud storage services (like Google Drive or Dropbox). The good news is that you can easily save your images to your computer or device first, and then upload them directly into the Ad Designer.

Important Note: To ensure the highest print quality for your ad, always try to use the original, full-size photo files (typically at least 300 DPI or high resolution) when uploading them from your device.
